Friday Faves 1.26 – The Fitnessista

Hello friends! Happy Friday! The weekend is here. What do you have going on? I’m taking my first Spenga class with a friend (I’ll let you know!) and putting the finishing touches on February’s Fit Team programming. New workouts arrive on Sunday! If you want to try it, sign up here – the first 7 days are free.

I’m also looking forward to teaching a barre class, Meg’s baby spray (Kyle and Meg are having their third baby in a month and a half!), and a family walk. I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend ahead.

(A leftover lunch of chicken with artichokes and mushrooms, plus radishes, broccoli, and homemade hummus on the side)

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and from around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so shout out something you like in the comments section below.

Friday Favorites 1.26

Read, watch, listen:

Liv and I watched Bad Girls Last weekend and I loved it. I had low expectations but I was impressed: I want to see it again.

VERY proud of the number one spot on this list! One of my all-time favorites. Tucson has a few places on this list!

Don’t miss this week’s podcast episode talking about breast implant illness.

What do you always carry in your suitcase for a trip?

Fitness, health and good nutrition:

The latest pair of Vivobarefoots (<— my referral link gives you 15% off). This is the seventh pair to come into our house. The pilot, P and I are all on board the train barefoot. (Liv sticks to her Jordans and her Converse.) It's amazing to see how pressing *normal* shoes feel now. They crush my toes so much! They are extremely light, comfortable and have plenty of room for proper toe separation and foot function. 😉

(It is also worth mentioning here that This is the BEST shoe spray. I use it on all the kids’ sneakers or anything canvas, like Liv’s backpack, and it helps them not get torn apart as quickly. Also keeps white sneakers super white and clean).

We went to a wonderful dinner with friends last weekend and when I said I would bring a cheese board, I didn’t think to bring it. Luckily, I pressed it and sealed it and it survived the trip! I added chocolate covered cherries, candied pecans, and rosemary sprigs for garnish when we got there.

These jerky sticks. I bought four to see if we’d like them, and P ended up having three this week and ordered more…so there you have it. I tried one and it was amazing. I find the texture of jerky weird and this brand is soft and not too chewy. They are perfectly seasoned and I appreciate that they include a mix of organ meats, since I don’t normally cook with them. They are very good for you, but I still get a little apprehensive…

More reasons to combine your cardio with strength training.

Try these collagen brownies!

Fashion + beauty:

Latest RTR Unlimited Search. Love this dress So much so that I’m thinking about keeping it.

Some more recent Amazon fashion finds:

This sweater (I have it in pink and wear it all the time)

This striped sweater (another staple food)

these floors – Love them with black pants and a hoop sweater.

Happy friday friends!

hugs and kisses

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
