He Diane von Furstenberg x Target Collection launches tomorrow, March 23 at 3am ET. Yes, at 3 am! I’ve been an avid shopper of these Target designer collaborations since 2015 (the Lilly Pulitzer launch) and I want to share some tips for shopping them successfully. Items are delivered FAST and having a plan is key to securing specific pieces.
As a plus size person, I typically approach these designer pieces with a lot of enthusiasm and strategy because it’s often the only time I can access these brands in my size. For example, Diane von Furstenberg wears size 18 in her regular collection. She had a brief collaboration with plus-size luxury brand 11Honore that went up to a size 24, but it looks like that’s over. As a size 28, this drop from DVF x Target will be the first time you can access any DVF style. While I am grateful for this opportunity, it is still a watered down experience with very limited availability and less luxurious fabric options. Still, I plan to purchase this collection with the same approach as I normally do. I love prints and bright colors, so DVF is right in my wheelhouse.

What is the return policy for the DVF x Target collection?
The DVF x Target collection has a 14-day return policy. RedCard™️ holders will receive an additional 30 days. For online purchases, the return period begins from the date of shipment.
Tips for shopping the DVF x Target collection
- Browse the collection in advance and save items in advance: In the Target app or Target.com, collection pages will appear before the release date. Here is the link for tomorrow’s collection Heart each item you want to purchase, and when launch time comes, skip all the scrolling and shop directly from your Target Favorites page.
- Shop right when the collection drops: Yes, this means that if you’re on Eastern Time, like me, you’ll have to get up super early, but things really do move so fast that it’s the safest bet to get what you want. If you want to buy in person, come to the store when it opens.
- Check shipping or pickup options in store: Target.com offers shipping on items, but you can also purchase items for same-day in-store pickup. If you want that instant gratification, in-store pickup means not having to search through shelves and being able to enjoy items right away. This is also helpful when a size is out of stock online, but may be in a store near you.
- Size out of stock? Use the “Notify” function. I’ve gotten many out-of-stock pieces by using the “Notify me when back in stock” feature on Target’s website or app. Select your size and then click the notify button. When the item is back in stock (for these collaborations, these are usually returned items), they will send you a push notification and email.
- If you buy, be prepared for return times: Turnaround time for returns is 14 days for non-cardholders, so make sure you’re prepared to return items quickly if they don’t work for you.
My DVF x Target Plus Size Favorites
There are many beautiful pieces in this collection, including the basic wrap dresses that DVF is known for. In addition to these favorite pieces below, there’s also a collection of colorful home items that I know will be popular. Make sure that preview the entire collection to plan your purchases and avoid overspending (a mistake I make every year).
