Friday Faves 3.29 – The Fitnessista

Hello friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? Ours was a whirlwind, but SO much fun.

I had our choir performance last Friday, took Liv to Phoenix for her dance competition early Saturday morning, spent the night, Pilot and IP arrived, rushed home for our Sunday performance while they stayed in Phoenix to on day 2 of the dance competition.

I took the shuttle from Tucson to Phoenix early Monday morning, got arrested at the airport, drove to Anaheim to have fun at Disney for a couple of days, then to San Diego for a couple of days. We’re finally back home after a super fun adventure and spring break!

It definitely felt good sleeping in our bed last night and I’m looking forward to a low-key Easter weekend with the family. I’d love to know what you’ve been up to!

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and from around the web. I always love hearing about your favorites too, so shout out something you like in the comments section below.

Friday Favorites 3.29

Spring Break Vacation:

Some photos of Disney and San Diego adventures:

We had our usual dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen (what a great and fun way to start the trip!)

With my best girls:

These children GET TOGETHER. We closed Disneyland and returned to the hotel at 1 am. Then we went to sleep until 10 in the morning the next day hahaha.

This dreamy vegan ice cream from Moniker/Craft Creamery in Point Loma:

(I loved it so much that I ordered 8 pints online. It’s organic soy ice cream and although the ingredients aren’t the best I’ve seen, it is ice cream. The link to the dairy is here if you want to treat yourself!)

Beach time in Coronado:

Always the best drink, medium sweet:

and the best poke we’ve had in San Diego from It’s Raw in Point Loma:

We also had an amazing OB Noodle House takeout dinner at Betsy’s house with our Kleiger family.

It was the perfect trip!

Read, watch, listen:

I still love this book and I am absolutely absorbed. Might be my second favorite of hers, after The Nightingale. It is beautifully written and the story is captivating; Definitely check it out if you like historical fiction.

What are your five most memorable films?

Hope and encouragement for difficult times.

Fitness, health, + good food:

Dr. Cabral's 21-Day Detox Summary and Recipes

EquiLife is having their Founder’s Sale right now and you can stack my code FITNESSISTA10 on current deals (products only; doesn’t work on labs as they have deep discounts during the sale)

These are some of the things I would recommend:

The 7 day detox. It’s perfect for a little “spring cleaning” and a great way to help eliminate toxins and restore deficiencies, while giving your liver a little extra love. This was my introduction to EquiLife (along with my IHP certifications) and I’ve been a fan ever since. My clients have also had incredible success with this detox!

Universal folder! I love this before sauna sessions, hot yoga, or when I’m going to eat something I don’t usually eat (like alcohol or fried food).

Full spectrum magnesium. I take this every night and sleep like a baby. It is important to use a balanced magnesium that includes different forms. They all have a different purpose and work together.

Daily nutritional support. I have it every day, as protein pudding (mixed with some protein from Truvani or NOW Foods), in my oatmeal, or in a smoothie. It is packed with vitamins and nutrients and is a great daily multivitamin.

The best weighted blanket. It is very cozy and can also help protect against electromagnetic fields.

5 large laboratories and Starter Kit Discount. This is one of the only times all five major labs have discounts together. You can purchase the labs with those links, and if you would like me to review them with you, please email me before ordering (gina@fitnessista.com subject LABS). I can include my Vitality platform for you, a coaching call, and I can make sure you keep track of your results.

Potato salad with deviled eggs.

Easter Recipe Ideas!

Fashion + beauty:

Beautycounter clean eau de parfum is HERE. This launch has been 10 years in the making and they didn’t want to release a fragrance until they could get it right. With Beautycounter, this means using the cleanest ingredients possible and rigorous safety testing. The new scents are so beautiful and so different (!), with excellent staying power. Get a discovery set here for $40 and you can try them all!

Happy friday friends! Have a wonderful weekend and see you soon!

hugs and kisses
