Grain-Free Banana Bread | Fitnessista Recipes

I’m sharing a delicious and healthy Paleo banana bread recipe! This post is updated with new photos and an update.

Hello friends! How are you? I hope you had an amazing weekend! We were in Phoenix for a dance competition. P has had basketball games, so the last two competitions have just been Liv and me. It has been a pleasure spending time together and at the hotel each night, we had a packed picnic and watched several episodes of Friends. He was charming!

This week the rhythm has returned here and I wanted to share with you a delicious and healthy recipe. This is one of my staples and I love when we have bananas that are on their last legs. I think a lot of us went through the heyday of banana bread in 2020, and I kind of overdid it. Now that I’ve stopped doing it so often, it’s *special* again and a lovely little gift.

I’m leaving an old photo so my Pinterest friends know they’re in the right place!

grain-free and low-sugar banana bread

When I originally made this, I typed the recipe into my phone; It was very fast. I thought it would be good, but maybe not blog-worthy. I was totally surprised by this one, since gluten-free baking can be difficult. It’s been a staple all along!

This grain-free banana bread is extremely moist, delicious, and made the house smell amazing. I love this recipe because it is nutrient-dense and delicious, but also because it takes less than 20 minutes to prepare.

Once ready to take out of the oven, about 40 minutes baking time, let cool completely on a rack.

It has been an excellent snack and is well crumbled over plain yogurt with fresh fruit and a drizzle of honey. You can also add chocolate chips to the recipe and/or spread a piece of warm bread with peanut or almond butter – yum!

Tips for a perfect Paleo banana bread:

Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor.

Feel free to swap out the almond flour for a gluten-free baking mix.

Measure your ingredients accurately using a measuring cup or scale.

For extra sweetness, add a handful of paleo-friendly chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the dough.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
